Jalisa and Darius have been coming to the Brownsville Rec Center since they were children. For Jalisa, it was a second place to call home while learning to dance; Darius learned how to swim here. The Brownsville Recreation Center takes up a small geographical footprint, but the cultural impact it has on the Brooklyn community is massive.
